Very tasty and huge portions! The food was delivered very quickly. The various tandoori bread specialties are particularly recommended.

Have been absolutely thrilled with the delicious food as well as the friendliness and great service on site for years! A real enrichment for the Weststadt, I hope you make it through the Corona crisis. To everyone who reads: Please help and order every now and then that there will continue to be such excellent Indian food in Ulm in the future - thank you.

We order there regularly, at least once a month. Every now and then we are guests on site. The food always tastes very good to us. Very authentic and tasty. There is a great selection and dishes can also be veganized on request, which I think is really great. The owners are super nice and attentive every time. We always like to come back :-)

Delicious food, quick service, polite staff

A few months ago the food was very good. Today it was a mush, too salty and in terms of taste anything but tasty. Also dripping with fat. In retrospect, one of us unfortunately had stomach problems ... sorry but that was the last time we ate something there ...

We ordered food, it was delicious and good portions

Today we ordered our lunch for the office and tried the delivery service. We were all very excited about the food !! Despite the trip to Pfuhl, it arrived warm and tasted very, very tasty! Lovely again! Thank you so much!

Especially now in the corona crisis, the delivery service is our salvation. Thank you for that and keep it up!

The food tastes great and the service is excellent. But there are only four stars because we were sometimes served by a rather rude waiter with glasses and jogging suits. The good man is very unprofessional and doesn't fit in with the Shalimar team.

Best in town! Best Indian in Ulm. Great food and great service. Friendliness and warmth are very important here. Everything is wonderfully seasoned and lovingly prepared. My unreserved recommendation!

I can't understand the good reviews. We have ordered here again for years because we had fond memories of the restaurant. Unfortunately, far from it. It has nothing to do with authentic Indian cuisine. The sauces watery, spices and meat or cheese deposits have to be looked for in the dish. And for a more than proud price. The naan is dry and the rice tastes like it was two days old. Really a shame and disappointing. We were looking forward to a great dinner. Next time again to the competition in the city center. Too bad ☹️

Love this place .. the friendliest staff in Ulm! Always a great welcome even when I pile into the restaurant in my work-clothes! Great food with an interesting and varied menu and a lovely atmosphere. Washrooms and WCs always clean and wheelchair accessible. Already looking forward to my next visit 👍🙂 (Cash only under 20 euros)

Inconspicuous from the outside, pleasantly furnished inside, without a lot of frills and fuss! The service was very nice and attentive, the food really delicious. The Garlic Nan bread ..... to lie in 😋 I had ordered the curry with prawns spicy ..... Warning: Spicy is really hot! And the grainy basmati rice ...... mjam! Gladly again!

Great Indian food, customized to personal pallets. Especially loved the Lamm Karahi. Great experience makes great food. The staff was really polite and the young guy with the galsses treated us very well and made us feel like home. Highly recommended and would love to visit again.

We were in this restaurant for 4 days with my family. Well, I've been to dinner several times. The food also tasted very good here. Only I have never seen a waiter with sweatpants or sporty soccer clothes serving. There were 3 waiters that evening and 2 of them were professional waiters and they were even young, you could tell. But the somewhat small waiter with glasses does not fit the service team and that ruined our beautiful evening. Things like singing, dancing, screaming and walking through the local area with the cell phone and headphones are not called service. I think you can take an idol and work smartly like the other waiters. Kudos to the kitchen and the other young waiters. I found it nice that they are so disciplined and responsible at a young age.

All dishes can also be ordered vegan and in spicy or not so spicy. Attention, it is difficult to park there, so it is better to come on foot or by bike. Service is very friendly and also happy to help with the order. I can recommend the breads as a side dish and otherwise we always made extremely tasty choices.

Good food, very friendly staff and quick service - somehow they always manage to make you feel special when eating there with little gestures, greetings, etc. The atmosphere is also lovely, as the limited amount of tables (though I always managed to get a table there) gives everything a very personal feeling.

Great food!

Good Indian restaurant with the typical dishes you know. Everything tasted good, for starters and main courses, including the Naan. Nothing was too sharp. Priced within the scope of what is offered. We had reserved a table, which is necessary at least on Saturday evening. The service was always friendly and quick. The place was clean, with no special atmosphere. If you come by car, you should plan a little more time because parking spaces nearby are scarce.

Ordered some curries and naans. Food was very tasty and staff was friendly. Traditional chai was very good. Will visit again definitely.

I would have given 5* if there was better ventilation during summer, and their beverage options were better.

I visited with my friends today and i want to have indian food very badly...there the staff was very nice and food was really yummy.I recommend to people who wants to taste the Idian food.

I am from India and this is definitely the worst Indian food i have ever tasted in my 7 years in Germany. They cover the bad food quality with friendly talk. Serving tuvar daal for daal makhani and explaining that the chef is new and didn't know the difference was icing on the cake. Replying to the owner..well i wasn't looking either for a discount or a runny sauce for whatever sweet dishes you are mentioning. I knew how much i need to pay when i was ordering the food. Its actually unfair to the customers whom you offer extra (super) dish after their they have had their food..and explaining how the food should taste like to a native?? Brilliant. No discount can ever undo the experience of having a bad meal with family on a nice evening for which however please check with your staff , we have paid in full. This really shows a complete non commitment to your business on your part.

I recomend you guys to once visit in ur life if u r going to ulm . superb service so friendly atmospher and peacefull . home feelings . plz dont forget to order chicken karahi and mango ice cream at desert . Should I say something? Be a guest and check. My experience was very bad. It is like paying just for nothing. Pakora are so thin like chips. I am not frequent visitor may be it was exception, but this exception is enough

I wanted to eat spicy and as my friend recommended, we came to this Indian place to eat some spicy Curries in the cold GERMAN weather.Food served was really good and so was the service.dont forget to ask for dessert.They are mouth watering.

The staff was extremely cooperative and welcoming and they customizes the meal on our request. We will surely miss their hospitality and warm welcoming spirit and would make sure to visit them again on our next trip 😊 kudos to the guys who make this place worth going 👌 Although I would recommend to have more combo options available and include more items in curry sectiin for vegeterians.

The restaurant is located directly on the street. From the outside rather unimpressive it is really cozy inside. The service is fast, attentive and friendly. The food is not cheap, but delicious and authentic. Sharp is also really hot here. Before eating, a type of bread with different dips is served. In the restaurant no alcohol is served. Non-alcoholic beers and wines are offered.

Staff - polite, friendly and very smart, they'll make sure everyone on the table orders a drink :D Ambience - good Music - can be much better Food - They can adjust the level of spicyness on your demand but the food is just fine. Plus the Garlic Naan had no taste of garlic. One thing which I didn't like was in the end, he just wanted to keep the bill on the table and go. I had to call him and say, "It's getrennt!" There shouldn't have been a need to do that. This is Germany! It's normal to ask in the end, "getrennt or zusammen". Will I visit again? Umm... I don't think so! The reason being food was just fine. Other places in the city offer better food.

If you are around - best restaurant serving Indian food :) Fresh and tasty but not as spicy as original dishes.

Good Pakistani/indian food with really polite staff. The mixed grill platter was awesome and the staff was regularly checking on us if we needed something or if everything was nice and up to our expectations. An appetizer and Rice was complimentary with the meal and they can also make it authentic spicy if you ask them. Definitely recommended
